I'm a British-Italian journalist and editor currently based in Bari, southern Italy. I'm the editor of The Local Italy, where I’ve been writing about Italian and European current affairs, travel, culture, language, and the ins and outs of life abroad since 2018.

My Story
I've spent almost my entire adult life living, working, and travelling abroad and I love being able to help others successfully do the same.

Through my reporting, I keep on top of all kinds of practical issues that affect people living internationally; from changes to visa rules to new flight routes and more.
​
I also write about Italian current affairs and culture from the perspective of a foreigner on the inside, and about overcoming the challenges involved in life between two cultures. Always with love, humour, and plenty of nuance.​

I'm originally from Manchester, England. I spent a decade living and working around Europe, mainly in Spain and the Czech Republic, before moving to Italy in 2017.

I'm also a CELTA-qualified teacher of English as a second language, and a perpetual language student.
